Who I Am  

A Little About Me

I grew up and spent pretty much all my life in Texas. I went to college on a music scholarship, but got my degree in business. I love Marketing. After spending my early career in a variety of fields (M&A, Finance, IT, Real Estate), I found that Marketing fed both my creative side and my analytical side. It's at this intersection of marketing and analytics that I have spent the majority of my career to date. I am easy-going and approachable. I have had the good fortune of working for some of the best companies and learning under some of the smartest marketing minds. SiriusXM (B2B2C, $8B Revenue) was a terrific company to work for. I spent almost 10 years there. I was initially brought in to advance the capabilities abound CRM and email marketing automation. I worked my way up the ranks from an individual contributor, all the way to leading the entire consumer marketing and marketing analytics teams. The later I built from scratch to really focus on smart, data-driven marketing decision making. I moved to Nashville in January 2020 for an amazing opportunity with Eventbrite (B2B SaaS, $300M Revenue). I was picked to build and manage a new Global Lifecycle Marketing team. They had some siloed regional marketing teams, but they were not very good at marketing technology, KPI-focused prioritization, and optimization. Eventbrite had an amazing culture, super-smart people, and tremendous upside for me personally and professionally. They were voted best place to work in Nashville 3 years in a row, and also got 2019 Tech Company of the Year. Unfortunately, Corona Virus decimated the company and they had to make some very difficult decisions, including letting go the entire North America marketing team and my new Global Lifecycle team. I KNOW marketing. From Acquisition to Retention. From SEO to drip-marketing. From Visual Analytics to Predictive modeling. My family and I are excited about our future, and are hoping to find an amazing opportunity to continue our growth.
