Hipnotik

Marketing/PR Director

Santa Clara University’s Competitive Hip Hop Team competes at various dance competitions and performs at school events. I use social media and other means to market dance workshops and support fundraising in order to gain recognition around the school and throughout the dance community. I also network with other dance organizations to connect our passions and develop a stronger presence for our team in the Bay Area.

Pilipino Culture Night

Finance Director

Barkada of SCU's mission is to promote the awareness of the Filipino culture and community on the SCU campus and strive to uphold the heritage, traditions, and relationships through education, social justice, and events. One such event is the annual Pilipino Culture Night, where students celebrate Filipino tradition, history, and experiences through a skit and traditional and modern dances. As the Finance Director of the show, I created income projections and predicted expenses and budgeting for the show. Such items included venue, costumes, choreographers, fundraisers, etc. I also carried out a presentation to our Associated Student Government requesting funds for the show, and this required a clear explanation of what we need the money for, how we were going to use it, and the importance of our show to the SCU community. And lastly, I managed reimbursements for the other members of our staff.
