I grew up with six sisters (five older) and I was the only boy. My father was a NYC police officer and my mom was a nurse. Neither went to college, but always put a premium on education, so almost all of us children went to college and many went on to graduate school. I started coding when I was 6 back on a Tandy TRS-80 and though I loved it, I didn't stick with it. When I got to college however, I picked it back up and started creating websites for various things, In law school I created my first "online social network" in the fall of 1999. It was popular and really pushed my interest in entrepreneurship. Due to the economic downturn in the early part of this century, I decided to practice law after law school and did that for a few years, before I made the full pivot into entrepreneurship. I built and sold companies and along the way picked up my MBA. I'm now running two companies that leverage technology for social and professional contact management.
