Who I Am  

A Little About Me

Shaina recently received her BSBA in Marketing with a minor in Design from Washington University in St. Louis. She took a gap year before beginning her studies at WashU. At university, she completed courses in business, marketing, consumer behavior, licensing, advertising, and design which developed many skills including Photoshop and Illustrator. She is well versed in the PR and business environments, having completed several internships. Last summer, she interned at Warner Bros., DC Comics Publicity. This experience developed her professional communication skills. Shaina's determination keeps her focused and detail oriented. As an empathetic person, she connects easily with the people she works with and is able to promote a productive team environment.

DC Publicity Intern

• Worked with the DC publicity team on all publicity tasks including, but not limited to, assisting on internal and external communications, writing employee newsletters, pitches & press releases, analyzing monthly publicity & communications ROI metrics, and assisting at publicity & philanthropy events including The Batman Experience press event at San Diego Comic Con 2019, DC’s USO2GO event, and a DC WriteGirl event. • Shadowed the SVP of Publicity & Communications and the Executive Director of Publicity & Communications. PA at WB/DC San Diego Comic-Con Booth • Assisted the CMS team, greeted fans, scanned 3000+ badges for sweepstakes, and handed out giveaways.

The Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity unites students in architecture and the allied arts for the purpose of fellowship and mutual interest in professional development. • Former member of the executive board responsible for maintaining chapter records and documents, ordering all Philon chapter emblems, updating member directory, and facilitating communication within the chapter. • Former Social Head in charge of organizing brotherhood events, formals, and mixers with other professional fraternities. • Former Pledgecator responsible for organizing formal recruitment, new member education, and coordinating communication between the incoming pledge class and the rest of the chapter.
