Who I Am
A Little About Me
Ricardo Alvarado was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Pittsburgh for college (culture & weather shock!). He graduated from Carnegie Mellon with two business degrees, and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Ricardo went on to work in consulting for a couple years, and then Goldman Sachs for almost 8 years. He was a senior leader at Goldman Sachs' internal startup Marcus by Goldman Sachs. Each decision Ricardo made had billion-dollar impact, and it motivated him to finally launch his own startup (Ricardo has had a running list of 500+ ideas since his undergrad years).
Ricardo has a broad-based business background in Marketing, Strategy, Technology, Financial Services, Operations, and Entrepreneurship. Last summer he had the opportunity to teach business at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar and it was a highly rewarding experience.
Interesting Factoid
I’m ambidextrous. I write and eat with my left, but I do everything else right-handed, like sports. My right is my "dominant" hand by wrist circumference.
