Melrose Meneses

I was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Alaska when I was 7 years old, where I was raised. I strived to be the first person in my family to go to college. I participated in student government, I even became the secretary for two years, as well as cheer and our spirit committee. I’ve always loved making a difference in my school. I became a teen mom this year to my 4 month old daughter, Alaina. I did not let that stop me and decided to graduate a year earlier. I plan on attending college right away to begin my path to becoming a nurse! Ever since my pregnancy I have always had a passion in becoming a nurse and helping people and my community.
