What I Stand For

Volunteer Experience

Chula Vista, CA, USA

Nov 2016 - Jan 2020
I worked here to tutor elementary kids and work with library staff to organize books and hold various programs such as STEAM education. For instance, a robotics and electrical wiring seminar was created to teach kids the existence of coding and how to create electric circuits. Of course, my role there was to teach the kids and also teach them to be cautionary as it is possible to be electrocuted.
Chula Vista, CA, USA

Feb 2019 - Apr 2019
This museum creates art representations of many different ethnic groups, art styles, and beautiful exhibitions for the public. Every season, the museum switches out its artworks to a different theme. When I was there, I helped the library transition from old Native American artifacts, pictures, and artworks into contemporary Mexican artist representations. I worked as an intern and a docent in this museum and learned more about the creation process of artworks since there were in-house artists who would be sculpting different figures such as a horse or even caves.
