I am from 15 miles outside of Boston and graduated from Boston College in 2019 with a degree in communications and 2 internships in marketing. After having a taste of independence and adventure when I studied abroad in Australia junior year without a single other American in my program, I decided I was up for another challenge when it came time to graduate. Days after graduation I signed up for AmeriCorps, which matched me with a nonprofit called CareOregon in Portland, Oregon. Within 2 weeks, I moved across the country and began a new challenge.
At CareOregon, I got the opportunity to wear many hats and learn about the many roles that compose a large non-profit organization. I was able to shadow employees from every department from disaster preparedness to community outreach in order to find out which roles interest me the most. While I enjoyed my time in the non-profit sector, I discovered that my true passion lies in marketing. Since I am a natural problem-solver, creative thinker, and challenge-embracer, the world of marketing intrigues me like no other.
In May I began a position as a Social Media and SEO Specialist for a nutrition website, where I am able to combine my passion for recipe inventing (slash food-eating) and my interest in marketing. I have very much enjoyed the opportunity to gain more hands-on experience in SEO, Google Analytics, content creation, and social media engagement.
Now, I am looking for my next adventure in the marketing world. I am excited to utilize the many skills and almost three years of experience that I have gained in my past positions as well as to learn much more!
