Who I Am  

A Little About Me

Jazzlyn is currently working as a Peer Mentor at Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. She is passionate about serving others and hopes to do just this no matter what company or position she works for in the future. Jazzlyn has experience with creating media and content marketing strategies, data analytics, and targeting the why behind how companies communicate. Jazzlyn thrives in teams that work towards understanding clientele from various perspectives in drawing research and analysis in creating images, words, and feelings that people connect to. For the last ten years Jazzlyn has volunteered with various non-profits, gone on humanitarian and mission trips, and have always worked closely with impoverished communities. In addition to several culturally and socially educational conferences and college classes, she tries to implement her beliefs in her everyday life. Overall, Jazzlyn hope to incorporate her passions for people, communication, and equality into any community she is in.

Interesting Factoid

I somehow floated down Yuba River in third degree white water rapids in a 99 cents store inner tube.

Woman in Data Nonprofit

Marketing/Communication Intern

Worked as the first intern ever for Women in Data. Internship focused on rebranding the communication and external appearance of the website, social media platforms, and newsletter. In addition to creating an outline/plan for a future fundraiser with a projected profit of $500,000. Lastly I drafted communication templates for elevator pitches and other communication guidelines for selling to investors.
