Who I Am  

A Little About Me

I am the author of three books, many published essays and articles, and have had a career in digital media, education, marketing and communications, and community service. I graduated with a BA in psychology from Marymount Manhattan College, immediately began teaching AP Psychology and English at The Beekman School, and am now on the Board of Directors at Emotions Matter, Inc., focusing on marketing and communications. I live in Hamilton Heights, NYC, with Finnegan, my miniature schnoodle.

Marketing and Communications Board Member

• Reviewing analytical data, assessing use and impact of current communications platforms, including Mailchimp, website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. • Making recommendations on which platforms to focus on and why, establishing rationale consistent with the organizations's mission, strategic program, and organizational growth goals. • Developing plans for managing media platforms. • Discerning how either volunteers, interns, or paid contracted staff can assist with task-management. • Exploring functionality of new communications platforms. • Evaluating overall marketing and communications strategy with emphasis on organizational growth and branding.
