I grew up around the Southern California area for just about my whole life. Growing up, I was always encouraged to work hard and perform to the best of my abilities. During middle school and high school, I got my chance to prove my talent and work ethic through playing clarinet. Throughout my time playing clarinet, I started to really find my consistent practicing paying off. I joined a volunteer orchestra and slowly grinded my way up to become a section leader, which took a few years. Then, I was able to join a community college and play alongside adults. These experiences taught me to appreciate hard work and not be intimidated by others who are older or more experienced.
