Who I Am

A Little About Me

Although I wish they would, my friends would never describe me as a comedian. Instead, they would use the words ambitious, outgoing, and dedicated. Ambitious. When I was 6, I was determined to open my own school and be a teacher. At 12, determined to be on HGTV. And at 16, I learned I wanted to work in Marketing. My family and friends think I am crazy because now, at 18, my dream is to open my own marketing firm one day. I am the type of person who will stop at nothing to get what they want in a situation, and while that might just be code for “type A”, I truly believe that with hard work, anything is possible. Outgoing. I have always been the type of person who can talk to anyone about anything. I like to make people feel like they are welcome and appreciated, and I think the best way to do this is to talk to them. I love to meet new people and make friends everywhere I go! Dedicated. My parents taught me when I was younger to never quit unless I really, really, had to. I may have quit basketball, tennis, and golf, but you have to believe me when I say I really, really had to (as soon as I learned I was going to be 5’2 my entire life, I decided basketball really wasn’t going to be my future.). All jokes aside, I have always put my entire heart and soul into everything I do. I am a strong believer in that you get out what you put in and I always intend to put in my entire effort and try my hardest.

American Marketing Association

Case Competition Team Member and Case Presenter

The American Marketing Association is a network of both students and professionals interested in marketing who want to make a difference. As a member of the case competition I work with a team of passionate, hard working students to create a marketing plan that addresses the problem that the sponsor of the competition presents. We not only try to do a great job for ourselves, but to also propose the best idea among the many other colleges around the United States. - Selected from a group of almost 50 applicants to participate and compete on a team of twenty - Present ideas from research during weekly meetings to produce the overall case submission - Facilitated an informal focus group with nine participants to add to primary research - Co-authored a twenty page paper with team to submit to competition
